Dodgers Finish Off Sweep of Nashville

The Dodgers scored all four of their runs in the third inning of a 4-2 win against the Nashville, completing a sweep of the Sounds.

The Oklahoma City Dodgers scored all four of their runs in the third inning of a 4-2 win against the Nashville Sounds Sunday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark to extend their winning streak to a season-high six games.

Sunday's win gave the Dodgers their first series sweep of the season as they improved their league-best record to 41-21 in front of a crowd of 5,098.

The Dodgers now have their longest winning streak since winning seven consecutive games Aug. 15-21, 2013.

Nashville (29-35) took the first lead of the night in the top of the third inning when Anthony Aliotti and Jason Pridie collected RBI singles for a 2-0 advantage.

The Dodgers connected on three singles in the bottom of the inning to load the bases with one out.

Catcher Austin Barnes followed with a two-run double and a third run scored on an error by Nashville left fielder Alden Carrithers for a 3-2 Dodgers lead.

Barnes stole third base and scored on a sacrifice fly by first baseman O'Koyea Dickson for a 4-2 Dodgers advantage in the third inning.

Second baseman Hector Olivera went 4-for-5 and scored one run for the Dodgers, while Barnes finished the day 2-for-3 with two RBI. Barnes also scored one run and picked up his sixth stolen base of the season.

Dodgers starting pitcher Deck McGuire (2-2) earned his second win with Oklahoma City, allowing two runs on six hits. He did not issue a walk and struck out seven over seven innings.

Relievers Dustin Richardson and Juan Gonzalez combined to pitch two scoreless innings and Gonzalez earned his first save of the season.

Nashville starting pitcher Brad Mills (2-7) was charged with the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) and six hits over 2.1 innings. He issued two walks and had two strikeouts.

The Dodgers next travel to Colorado Springs to open a three-game road series against the Sky Sox at 8:05 p.m.
