OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahoma City Police are looking for the person responsible for the death of a metro mom whose body was found lying in the middle of the street.

Police identify the woman as Kimberly Williams, 30, and say she was near the corner of NE 23rd and Santa Fe just after midnight.

“Nobody deserves to go like that nobody,” said her sister Jean Williams.

Jean still can't believe her sister is gone.

News 9 was there when she got the call from the Medical examiner's office, saying Kimberly had suffered blunt force trauma to the head and it did not appear that she had been hit by a car.

Jean says Kimberly was the youngest of four and was considered the baby of the family.

“Before my mom passed away I made a promise to my mom that I would look after my sister, I'd take care of her,” said Williams.

She says Kimberly leaves behind three young children, two boys and a girl.

“It's going to tear them up,” said Williams. “It feels like it's a dream you know can't wake up. I just want the person that done it to at least come forward.”

Williams says she received a text from Kimberly late Thursday night, saying that she was at the Circle K at NW 23rd street and Western and needed a ride. But Jean says she did not get that text until it was too late.

“If I had turned it on a little bit sooner just a little bit sooner maybe I could have got to her in time,” said Williams with tears in her eyes. ”She was a good caring person, she was always there - we were always there for each other. All we had was each other. She was there for me and I was there for her that's all we had was each other.”

And Oklahoma City Police say if you have any information about this death you are urged to call the Homicide Tip Line at 297-1200.

The family has also established a GoFundMe account.
