An Oklahoma City man accused of robbing a Subway restaurant in May was arrested Wednesday afternoon, Oklahoma City police reported Thursday.
Police were called on May 2 to the Subway restaurant, 6223 N. Meridian Ave., in reference to an armed robbery. A Subway worker was behind the counter when a black male walked in and ordered a sandwich, according to the incident report.
The man went to the bathroom while he was ordering his sandwich, picked up his sandwich and a bag of chips and approached the register. The worker said the man pulled a black semi-automatic pistol from his waistband and aimed it at the worker's head, according to the incident report.
The worker told police that the robber said, “I'm sorry about this, I'm just down on my luck.” The worker gave the robber all the money in the register and put it in the sandwich bag. The robber asked another worker if she had access to the safe and left when the worker said she did not.
Oklahoma City police officers arrested Gerard Harbour, 25, on a complaint of robbery with a firearm. Harbour was taken to the Oklahoma County jail and his bail is set at $20,000.
