An Oklahoma City man is in the Oklahoma County jail after he was accused of trying to light his girlfriend on fire, Oklahoma City police reported.

About 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, a woman called police and said her boyfriend was trying to light her on fire, according to the incident report.

The woman told police that Maurice Deangelo Fisher, 18, was banging on the apartment door, had lighter fluid in hand and said, “I'm going to set you and your apartment on fire.”

The woman told police that Fisher began spraying her with the lighter fluid and that she pushed Fisher. She said Fisher head-butted her causing her right eye to swell.

Fisher told police that the woman poured the lighter fluid on him and that he didn't know how her right eye became swollen.

Fisher was arrested on complaints of arson, burglary, domestic violence, threatening to perform an act of violence, truancy and unauthorized use of a vehicle and is being held without bail, a jail official said Wednesday.
