Semi, Construction Vehicle Crash Blocks All Lanes Of US 51 In Payne County

Emergency crews were called out to the scene of a crash involving a semi and a construction vehicle on State Highway 51, in between Interstate 35 and Stillwater, Monday afternoon.

Authorities say the crash caused the semi to end up on its side, blocking both eastbound and westbound lanes on US 51. The construction vehicle also ended up on its side on the westbound side of the highway.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined and it is unclear if anyone was injured. Officials had to shut down US 51 while crews worked to clear the scene. Traffic in the area was diverted on to State Highway 86.

Just before 7 p.m., officials had all of westbound US 51 open and one lane eastbound open.
