Police Identify Woman Killed In NW OKC Shooting

Oklahoma City Police are searching for a suspect after a deadly shooting on the northwest side.

Police said Ranika Lindsey, 26, died from her injuries at OU Medical Center. It was approximately 8:50 p.m. when police rushed to the Hefner Hollow Apartment on Lyrewood Lane near NW Expressway and Rockwell.

Lindsey was found with a gunshot wound and was rushed to the hospital.

One woman who wanted to remain anonymous said she heard about five gunshots.

"It kinda rattled the window. But that's why I thought it was the people downstairs, and when I went outside to look, it was a girl lying there. There was blood and everyone was screaming,” the woman said. 

The woman also said neighbors saw someone running from the area and there may have been a cell phone left behind turned over to investigators. Police have not released any information on who they are looking for. They are asking the public to call the Homicide Tip Line (405)-297-1200
