Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) officials said those impacted by storms in Oklahoma from May 5 through June 4 have totaled $1.78 million in state and federal disaster assistance so far. The amount was reached after the May 26 major disaster declaration.

More than 3,100 homeowners and renters have applied for assistance from the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM), FEMA, and the US Small Business Administration (SBA).

According to FEMA, disaster assistance may include grants to help pay for temporary housing, home repairs and replacement costs. Low-interest SBA disaster loans may be available to businesses of all sizes as well as certain private non-profit organizations. Officials said homeowners and renters are also eligible for SBA loans for losses not fully compensated by insurance or other compensation and do not duplicate benefits from other agencies or organizations.
