TRAFFIC ALERT: Injury Crash Snarls Traffic On WB I-40 At Meridian

A reported injury crash has caused traffic to be backed up for miles on the westbound side of Interstate 40 near S. Meridian Ave., Tuesday evening.

Emergency crews were called to the scene just before 5:30 p.m. OHP Troopers blocked the inside lane of I-40 in the area of the crash while crews work the scene.

At least one injury has been reported, but the severity is not known at this time. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.

EMSA has been called to the scene.
