Del City Pursuit Ends In Crash, Suspect's Arrest

Del City police arrested a suspect accused of leading officers on a chase in a stolen vehicle Tuesday morning. 

According to police, the suspect had tried to cash a fraudulent check at a bank in the area of 42nd and Sunnylane. Officials with the bank called police, and officers attempted to pull the suspect over. But he took off in an SUV. That's when the chase began.

Police said the suspect vehicle eventually hit a curb and crashed at Del Road and Bryant. No one was injured.

The 48-year-old suspect was taken into custody. Police said the SUV he was driving had been stolen.

Police have not identified the suspect at this time.
