After a month off for severe weather, H & 8th is back downtown, and those in attendance had some very fast visitors. Cyclists in the Pro-Am Classic sped through the event.

"This year we had the opportunity to run right through H & 8th,” Race Director Chad Hodges said. "We're super psyched about it, because we get to introduce cycling to all of H & 8th's 40,000 people that show up.”

"We had no idea that there were bike races,” one visitor said. “We just came out for H and 8th."

"It's interesting. It's kind of good to have a crowd together and enjoy the race and the food at the same time,” another visitor said. "It's really fun. I'm from Tulsa and we have 'Tulsa Tough' every year and so this kind of reminds me of that."

"Everybody from a beginner to a professional cyclist can race,” Hodges said. "Next year will be our fifth year, and our goal is to get it on the national racing calendar, and if we're able to do that it'll bring cyclists from all over the nation here,”

Racing continues Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Film Row and again on Sunday in Automobile Alley from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There is no charge to attend.
