Water Released From Lake Thunderbird Dam Due To Flooding

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

At 6:00 a.m. Sunday, Lake Thunderbird Authority began releasing water from the Lake Thunderbird Dam at an increased rate due to the lake being full.

Residents living in the Little River area from 180th to county line should expect further flooding and be prepared to seek higher ground.

Cleveland County Sheriff's Deputies were out notifying persons living in the flood plain to take precautions.
