Southern Republican Leadership Conference Takes Place In OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahoma City is hosting the Southern Republican Leadership Conference which will be attended by approximately 2,000 people.

The 3-day event takes place at the Cox Convention Center. Speakers on Thursday will include Gov. Mary Fallin who will give opening remarks and introduce Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.

Also on Thursday's line up Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry who are also considered presidential hopefuls.

Other notable names speaking at the conference: Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Dr. Ben Carson who recently announced he's running for president, and U.S. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida.

The highlight of the conference is the Energizing America Gala on Friday night. The keynote speaker is Texas Sen. Ted Cruz who was the first major Republican to announce back in March that he is running for President.

Tickets to Friday night's gala are no longer available.
