An Oklahoma City woman was arrested after police said she assaulted an 11-year-old boy who has Autism.

According to police, at about 5:40 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the report of a domestic incident in the 4000 block of S.W. 27th. Officers said the victim, an 11-year-old boy with Autism, had scratches and cuts across his face, and he had a large swollen area above his left eye.

Officers said they had difficulty communicating with the boy, and the boy would only say that 23-year-old Delsey Loraine Lee had hit him. Lee and the victim live in the same house.

Lee told the officers that she was cleaning in the hallway when the victim bumped into her when he passed her, causing her to bump her head on the wall. Lee said the victim did not say “Excuse me,” so she shoved him back towards his room and told him to go back inside.

Lee said the victim started throwing around the trash she was attempting to clean. That's when the two got into a scuffle.

According to the police report, Lee said she may have scraped the victim's face with her ring, because he was trying to bite her hand during the scuffle.

Lee was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on complaints of child abuse and domestic abuse. A bond has not been set.
