The Oklahoma City Dodgers scored five runs with two outs in the first inning on their way to a 7-5 win against the Iowa Cubs Sunday afternoon at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The Dodgers improved to 26-11 on the season as they won a fourth straight game in front of a crowd of 7,164.

First baseman Andy Wilkins went 2-for-4, including a solo home run in the fifth inning, and drove in a game-high three runs for the Dodgers. Buck Britton and O'Koyea Dickson also had two hits for Oklahoma City, and starting pitcher P.J. Walters went 1-for-1 with two RBI Sunday.

The win gave Oklahoma City a 2-0 lead in their four-game series with Iowa (18-19).

The Dodgers connected on five hits in the first inning to take a 5-0 lead – all with two outs.

Corey Seager and Dickson collected back-to-back singles before Scott Schebler was hit by a pitch from Dallas Beeler to load the bases for Kyle Jensen. Jensen hit a two-out grounder to Iowa shortstop Jonathan Mota and he beat Mota's throw to first base for an infield single and a 1-0 Dodgers' lead.

With the bases loaded again, Wilkins hit a two-run single up the middle to give Oklahoma City a 3-0 lead.

Beeler intentionally walked Brian Ward to load the bases for Oklahoma City pitcher Walters. Walters then singled on a grounder to right field to drive in two more runs for the Dodgers and a 5-0 lead.

Iowa answered with four runs on four hits in the fifth inning.

Mota hit a solo home run onto the Budweiser Deck in left field to lead off the fifth inning with Iowa's first run of the day.

Beeler followed with a double before Arismendy Alcantara singled to Dodgers center fielder Schebler. Schebler lost the ball on the throw and was charged with an error, allowing Beeler to score and cut the Dodgers' lead to 5-2.

A sacrifice fly by Christian Villanueva, followed by a RBI single by Mike Baxter, cut the Dodgers' lead to 5-4 in the fifth inning.

Oklahoma City extended to a 6-4 advantage in the fifth inning on Wilkins' first homer of the season.

A RBI double from Iowa pinch hitter Taylor Davis in the sixth once again cut the Dodgers' lead to one run.

Oklahoma City stretched to a two-run advantage in the bottom of the frame. Schebler hit a fly ball to left field, which Alcantara dropped to be charged with an error, allowing the Dodgers to take a 7-5 lead.

David Aardsma pitched a 1-2-3 top of the ninth inning for the Dodgers to earn his 11th save of the season.

Walters (1-1) got the win for Oklahoma City. He allowed four runs on eight hits, issued one walk and struck out two.

Beeler (0-3) was charged with the loss for Iowa. He allowed five runs on seven hits, walked two and struck out five.

The OKC Dodgers continue their four-game home series against Iowa at 7:05 p.m. Monday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
