Storms Cause Power Outages In The Metro

Saturday evening officials reported hundreds were without power in the metro as rain and high winds moved through the region.

Saturday evening officials reported hundreds were without power in the metro as rain and high winds moved through the region.

OG&E reported more than 7,000 customers were without power in Oklahoma City and 92 customers Moore at 10:58 p.m. Edmond Electric reported 143 customers were in the dark at 9:54 p.m. At 10:23 p.m., 614 customers in Piedmont were without power, according to OG&E.

By Sunday morning, most of the power throughout the metro area had been restored. OG&E reported more than 1,600 customers are still without power with 216 being in the Oklahoma City area.

Outages were also reported in Konawa, Healdton, Bristow and Cleo Springs, Saturday night.
