Oklahoma State clinched a series win over Michigan Friday night at Ray Fisher Stadium as the 13th-ranked Cowboys picked up an 11-5 victory.

A six-run sixth inning highlighted the OSU win, which was the Cowboys' third in a row and saw them improve to 34-16 on the season. The victory was also the Pokes' 15th come-from-behind triumph of the year.

Trey Cobb worked 4 1/3 scoreless innings of relief to earn the win on the mound Friday, and Gage Green, Donnie Walton and Dustin Williams each collected two RBIs for a Cowboys' lineup that also had five players record multiple hits.

“Our team showed some toughness tonight,” said OSU head coach Josh Holliday. “The strength of who we are is the entirety of the group. When these guys are all put together, they really shine – they feed off each other, they complement one another and they all bring something to the table that's difficult to defend.

“We have a good lineup that's competing hard and finding ways to win, and they're doing it against good teams. I'm proud of the kids.”

Michigan (32-23) took the game's early lead against OSU starter Jon Perrin when Jackson Glines sent a pitch down the right field line and over the wall for what was ruled a home run to give the Wolverines a 2-0 advantage in the bottom of the first inning.

That lead was short-lived, however, as in the top of the third, Walton crushed a two-run homer of his own off the scoreboard in right field to tie the score. The blast was Walton's third of the season.
