The Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office authorized one count of Pointing a Firearm at Another to be filed against Sgt. Cecil D. Moss, a 12-year veteran of the Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD), Friday.

The 52-year-old was placed on administrative leave after the department initiated a criminal investigation into a domestic altercation that occurred in northwest Oklahoma City on April 4.

According to the police report, Moss said he pointed a gun at a vehicle on N. Miller Boulevard, that was moving erratically toward him, but did not fire because there was a baby in the vehicle. He was not on duty at the time, nor was he in uniform, according to OCPD.

Moss will continue to be on paid administrative leave as the internal investigation continues, according to OCPD.
