The recent rains have reduced drought levels and increased lake levels, but not everyone is thrilled with the ongoing wet weather.

"With the constant rain, you know we have to come out to jobs, check them, and see if we are able to do work," said Mike Freeman, Owner of Red Valley Landscape.

Freeman's company, like many outdoor businesses, is experiencing delays from the recent storms.

"Scheduling is a nightmare," Freeman said the rain has caused several delays in projects. "You think you are going to get 5 or 6 days' worth of work in and you get two days and it just pushes things out."

Freeman explained he and his crew are committed to getting the work completed as soon as possible for his customers, no matter the sacrifice.

"We still try to do work if its bad weather days," Freeman said. “We do what we can do to show we are giving our effort."

Construction crews across the metro seem to be dealing with the same setbacks. Blue Haven Pools has not been able to pour concrete for pool decks and patios because of the recent rain.

"We need it dry. If you pour it when it is wet the ground is going to move," said Jayme Allen of Blue Haven Pools.

Allen's crews are working longer hours and even some off-days when the sun actually comes out.

"Obviously in the pool biz we want it hot. So if it gets hot and dries up we can move along and get them done in a pretty quick manner," said Allen.

Painters, home builders and road construction crews are also experiencing delays this month because of the storms.
