Junior running back Keith Ford is transferring from Oklahoma, the university confirmed on Wednesday.

Ford started 2014 sizzling hot tallying 294 yards and six touchdowns through three games. He suffered a leg fracture in Week 3 against Tennessee and missed the next five games.

By the time Ford returned to the field, he had been supplanted by freshman Samaje Perine. The sophomore didn't win his starting job back but he did contribute during the last five games of the season and finished 2014 with 532 total yards and six touchdowns.

Ford was indefinitely suspended in March for academic and team rules violations.
