After several days of storms, many tornado victims were finally able to get out and assess the damage. Multiple homes in Bridge Creek were wiped out, so many showed up one by one to Bridge Creek Elementary School to see what help they could receive at the Multi-Agency Resource Center. But one crucial part the center lacks are people to help.

"Right now we really need manpower. We need volunteers...volunteers who just want to come up and volunteer. We need large groups who can provide heavy equipment," said Rick Aldridge, CEO and Founder of Oklahoma Emergency Response Team.

Tools like shovels and rakes are in demand. A helping hand is what Buddy Potter and his family need a lot of after his mother's home was reduced to rubble. Toppled tables, appliances and even a bathtub are all scattered throughout the front yard of Sharon Barnes' home of seven years.

"It's a stressful time. There's a lot of stuff to do, a lot of work and everything's on top of everything," Potter said.

Sorting through debris and clearing trees and essential as this family works to pick up all the pieces. Even with so much damage, it's an area that can easily be overlooked.

"If you say OKC Metro, everybody knows, but when you say Bridge Creek, it's kind of like we're not even sure where that is…so it's sometimes difficult in these smaller ones to get a lot more resources if there are other events going on," Aldridge said.

That's why many agencies are putting out the call to serve.

"I'm just glad my mom's ok. This is all material stuff that we can replace. We'll clean it all up and get everything out of here, and we'll rebuild," Potter said.

The resource center will be open at the Bridge Creek elementary school Gym from 11 p.m. to 7 p.m. through Friday. Bridge Creek Schools are back in session Tuesday.
