The Oklahoma softball team learned its path to another Women's College World Series Sunday night, as the Sooners were given the No. 11 national seed for this year's NCAA tournament.
The seeding is interesting, as the Sooners are currently No. 4 and No. 5 in the national polls. However, the Sooners are No. 13 in the RPI and with a down Big 12 conference and several losses to ranked teams in non-conference, the Sooners' seeding is probably justified.
The Sooners will be joined in the Norman Regional by Central Arkansas, Lehigh and Texas A&M. The regional begins on Friday with A&M facing Lehigh at 12:30 p.m. The Sooners and Central Arkansas will follow at 3 p.m.
Should the Sooners advance, they will face the winner of the Tuscaloosa regional. No. 6 national seed Alabama is the host of that regional.
