Semi Hauling Canned Fruit Overturns On Lake Hefner Exit To EB I-44

An overturned semi on a southbound Lake Hefner parkway exit is blocking travelers looking to go eastbound on Interstate 44.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers were called to the scene just before 6 p.m.

According to the report, a semi that was hauling canned fruit rolled on its side while trying to negotiate the turn onto eastbound I-44.

Two people were inside of the semi at the time off the rollover. Neither person was injured.

It is unclear just how long the exit will remain closed.
