Crews continue to repair and replace the damaged utility poles at 48th Ave. NW, between Robinson and Rock Creek Sunday.

Crews continue to repair and replace the damaged utility poles at 48th Ave. NW, between Robinson and Rock Creek Sunday.

Severe weather bringing hail and high winds Friday, swept through Norman causing the damage. The poles blocked the city streets and live power lines were an issue.

The Norman Police Department said at various times during repairs, 48th Ave. NW will be closed to all traffic including the residents. When the roadway isn't completely closed, resident will have access to come and go while repair are made.

The utility company estimates the repairs will be complete by Tuesday.

The Norman Police asked that residents to avoid the area if possible.
