“We were getting water from both sides. It was coming in from the back and the front,” Jason Atchison, Old School Bagel Café owner.

Friday, just a few puddles remained in the mud-stained parking lot outside the Old School Bagel Cafe. On Wednesday night that parking lot looked more like a small pond from the more than half a foot of rain that fell. Water flowed straight into multiple businesses.

“As soon as we got here, we just started pushing water out the doors. It was full of water throughout the building,” he said.

Not only water, but a thick layer of mud-coated chairs, walls, and the floor.

“You can still see the red mud and what have you over there, but that was all in the store,” said Atchison.

The mess was still being cleaned up next door at the Daisy Exchange.

“When we unlocked the door it was just like inches and inches almost close to six to eight if not a foot of just floating mud red water,” said the Daisy Exchange owner.

The owner of the clothing resale shop, Tassidey Rahill, expects the flooding to leave them with a couple thousand dollars in damage.

“It's hard with us because we can't just order it, make a phone call and order all new merchandise it's all one of kinds,” said Rahill.

And with neither business having flood insurance, they are having to foot the bill.
