Another Injunction Denied, Seattle Elephants Headed To OKC Zoo

Representatives with the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle said Friday the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington denied a second request for an injunction to keep zoo officials from transporting Bamboo and Chai to the Oklahoma City Zoo.

 Representatives with the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle said Friday the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington denied a second request for an injunction to keep zoo officials from transporting Bamboo and Chai to the Oklahoma City Zoo.

Woodland Park Zoo officials said the court emphasized the "evidence indicating that Bamboo and Chai remained in good health during and after the trip to San Diego and the zoo's planning and preparation for the continuation of the transport to Oklahoma City."

The animals were rerouted to San Diego because of bad weather.
