Police Investigate After Body Found In Southwest OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY -

Police are investigating after a body was found in southwest Oklahoma City, early Friday morning.

Police said they received a call early Friday morning from a cab driver who discovered a body near the road on S.W. 59th between Agnew and Villa. Police said the male victim appeared to have been shot to death. 

Police have identified the victim as 29-year-old Shawn Scott Stephenson.

At the same time of that call, police said they were investigating reports of shots fired in a nearby neighborhood and discovered casings not far from where the body was located.

Investigators are looking to see if the two incidents are related. 

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information should call the homicide tip-line at (405)-297-1200.

This is Oklahoma City's 22nd homicide of 2015.
