A century-old building in downtown Anadarko came crashing to the ground under the weight of water accumulation on its roof, Thursday evening.

A photo, taken by the Anadarko Daily News, was sent in shortly after the collapse around 5 p.m.

The vacant building, located in the 100 block of E. Main St., once housed a furniture company and was damaged in, but ultimately survived the May 19, 2009 tornado that rolled through the area.

The furniture company used the building as a warehouse until it was damaged by the 2009 storm. It had remained vacant ever since.

No one is believed to have been injured in the collapse.
