SHAWNEE, Oklahoma -

A day after a man is murdered in a Shawnee neighborhood, police surround two homes Tuesday looking for a third suspect. Now we're hearing from neighbors who witnessed the scene.

Court records say investigators were looking for a man named Ramie Brown, hoping he had information about the murder of John Columbus.

Police found Columbus slumped over the wheel of his car Monday morning near 10th and Pesotum with a gunshot wound to his back. On Tuesday afternoon, the SWAT team surrounded two homes off East Main St. in Shawnee.

“They had their guns, they were pointing toward the house there,” said neighbor, Jim Young.

“I was terrified for my daughter and my family because I didn't know what was going on,” said neighbor Anthony Wallace. “Full armor, they had a MRAP over here, two police vehicles, and it was crazy.”

“Police cars came and blocked the road and a couple of them went up the street,” said Young.

Wallace and Young both watched the standoff play out right in front of their homes as the search was on for the person who shot and killed Columbus.

“They thought apparently we was somebody,” said Franky.

That somebody may have been involved in the murder of Columbus.

News 9 learned Ramie Brown was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Shawnee on an outstanding warrant, unrelated to this case, but now he will have to answer investigators' questions about the murder of Columbus. Investigators believe Columbus was murdered during a drug deal.

Two other men have already been arrested and are being held on multiple complaints including murder. Police recovered drugs and a stolen gun from their SUV. They also say one bullet was missing and it's a match to the one found at the crime scene.
