The on-ramps to Interstate 35, from State Highway 9 to Lindsey St. in Norman, are now reopened to traffic.

Authorities originally shut the ramps down due to flooding.

As of 8 a.m. Wednesday, the northbound I-35 on-ramps from SH-9 East and Lindsey St. in Norman were still closed due to high water and heavy rainfall overnight, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT.)

Construction crews worked tirelessly to pump water out of the area and install an additional temporary drain.

The northbound I-35 off-ramp to Lindsey St. remains closed as part of the ongoing project to widen I-35 and reconstruct the interchanges at SH9 East and Lindsey St.
