Police in Jones, along with the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office, were called out to dispose of blasting caps and detonation wire found by fisherman on the North Canadian Rive on Sunday.

The officers and the bomb squad were called out to the area, near N. Choctaw Rd. and N. Britton Rd., where they safely removed and destroyed three electric blasting caps and wire.

The explosive implements are apparently used by some fisherman, according to Jones Police, and appear to have washed down the river from another location, where they got caught in a tree.

Again, authorities were able to safely dispose of the devices and at no point was anyone in danger.
