Driver In Turnpike Crash That Killed Metro Boy, 6, Faces Murder Complaint

Court documents were filed in Oklahoma County Friday against a wrong-way driver police said was responsible for crashing into multiple vehicles and killing a 6-year-old boy and critically injuring others on the Kilpatrick Turnpike on April 5.

Court documents said Kelly Corn, 44, faces complaints of Second Degree Murder or in the alternative First Degree Murder, two complaints of Causing an Accident Resulting in Great Bodily Injury while Driving under the Influence, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving an Unattended Vehicle.

Court documents showed Corn's blood was tested and investigators said methamphetamine, tramadol and hydrocodone were found in Corn's system. Investigators said they believe Corn was involved in a crash in a restaurant parking lot near Pennsylvania and Memorial and fled the scene, driving eastbound on the westbound Kilpatrick Turnpike.
