OSBI Investigating Deadly Chickasha Officer-Involved Shooting

OSBI is investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting in Chickasha, Wednesday evening.

Police responded to a burglary call in the 1200 block of S. 16th Street just before 7:00 p.m. The victim was able to identify two men whom she found inside her home. 

While en route to the victim's home, officers saw the suspects walking in the 1200 block of Florida. One suspect fled, and officers began a pursuit but lost track of the suspect.

Two Grady County officers and a Chickasha officer went to the nearby home of the suspect who didn't run from the scene. Inside, the officers found both suspects. The suspect who initially ran from the officers, produced a knife. Officers told him to drop the knife numerous times. The Chickasha officer fired his weapon killing the suspect. 

The area in which the shooting occurred is blocked off.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Names of those involved have not been released.
