The Medical Examiner's office has released the cause of death for a man who was found dead following a car fire at the National Weather Center in Norman, Oklahoma.

The Medical Examiner's office has released the cause of death for a man who was found dead following a car fire at the National Weather Center in Norman, Oklahoma.

On Thursday, April 23, a man crashed his car through the security gates of the National Weather Center in Norman. The car then caught on fire.

The driver, later identified as 55-year-old Allen Michael Rouse of Wichita, Kansas, died despite several attempts to save him.

According to the Medical Examiner's office, Rouse's cause of death was smoke inhalation and thermal burns. His manner of death is pending.

The FBI has now taken the lead in the investigation into the fiery and fatal crash being investigated as a suspected suicide.
