Group Offers Free Financial Fitness Kits To 'Jump Start Your Money'

Chances are your money is in need of a "jump start.” One group is using this week to help Oklahomans around the state with some free information.

This week is known as Jump Start Your Money week. The Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants wants to promote financial education around the state, so the group is offering free Financial Fitness Kits.

There's information on just about everything for those just graduating school and on your own for the first time, to those saving for college or planning for retirement. There's even a section on starting your own business or investing.

“We want Oklahomans to have complete awareness and we also want them to know you shouldn't just run into a financial situation without making an informed decision. There's an abundance of information out there,” said Amy Welch with the Oklahoma Society of CPAs.

These Financial Kits are in libraries around the state, but just this week the group learned they're in such high demand, some libraries are even running out.
