Norman Police Investigate Apparent Murder-Suicide

Police in Norman are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that took place over the weekend.

According to a report, officers were called out to an unknown disturbance in the 3400 block of Madra at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Sunday. There police made contact with a juvenile male, who told them that his brother and his brother's girlfriend were involved in some kind of confrontation.

When police entered the home they found the bodies of two people, a male and a female, apparently deceased from knife wounds. Police tell News 9 that evidence at the scene indicates that the male attacked the female with a knife before turning it on himself.

The identities of the dead man and woman have not been released at this time.

The incident remains under investigation.
