Guthrie Golf Course Owner Duffy Martin Has Died

Duffy Martin, owner of the Cedar Valley and Cimarron National Golf Courses in Guthrie, died Friday. He was 98 years old. 

His funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at LifeChurch at I-35 and 2nd Street in Edmond, family members told News 9.

Family of Martin shared a post Saturday on Facebook saying, "The remarkable life of Duffy Martin ended last night, one month shy of his 99th birthday. He dreamed big, made us laugh, and truly never met a stranger."

Martin was featured in an ESPN article in 2007, when he competed in the Group 9 (ages 90-94) division of the TaylorMade-adidas Golf PGA Winter Championships.
