Four earthquakes shook up residents in Logan County, beginning early Friday morning.
The first, a 3.9 magnitude quake, struck at approximately 4:08 a.m. Its epicenter was located four miles west of Langston, six miles northeast of Guthrie, and 21 miles north northeast of Edmond at a depth of about two and a half miles.
The second, a 3.1 magnitude earthquake, which shook up the same area at approximately 4:37 a.m.
The third, another 3.1 magnitude earthquake, struck at approximately 5:42 a.m. Its epicenter was located four miles north of Guthrie, 20 miles north of Edmond, and 33 miles north of Oklahoma City.
The fourth, a 3.3 magnitude earthquake, struck at approximately 11:48 a.m. Its epicenter was located five miles west of Langston, six miles northeast of Guthrie, and 21 miles north northeast of Edmond.
No damages or injuries have been reported.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes 4.0 and higher.
