An Oklahoma City man was arrested after stabbing another man with an icepick at a halfway house on the northwest side of the metro, Wednesday evening.

OKC Police were dispatched to OU Medical Center around 7 p.m. in reference to the stabbing. Once there officers met with the victim, who said the stabbing took place at the halfway house he lived at, and one witness who worked at the house.

The victim told police that the suspect, 56-year-old Roy Tryon, had loaned him $15 so he could buy some food over the weekend. On Wednesday when Tryon tried to collect on the debt, the victim did not have the money and a scuffle unfolded, ending with the stabbing.

Officers were then dispatched to the halfway house, located in the 400 block of NW 8th St., and took Tryon into custody. He was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on one count of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. His bond was set at $5,000.

The victim remains at OU Medical in critical, but stable condition, with three stab wounds to his left side, one stab wound to the chest and a collapsed lung.
