Noyola Sentenced In OKC Baseball Brawl Case

Eric Noyola was sentenced to ten years in prison for the second degree murder of Ricky Betancur, Wednesday afternoon.

Eric Noyola was sentenced to ten years in prison for the second degree murder of Ricky Betancur, Wednesday afternoon.

Back in April 2014, both Noyola and Betancur were at the Boomer Sports Complex watching friends play baseball when a brawl broke out in the parking lot.

Noyola claimed to grab a bat in self defense and he struck Betancur, hitting him in the head.

Betancur died from his injuries sustained from the blow.

Noyola was originally facing a murder one charge, but in February a jury found Noyola guilty of lesser second degree murder charge in the death Betancur.
