Five years after the Oklahoma City Bombing, a lasting memorial to the victims was opened.

The Oklahoma City National Memorial was put together by Oklahomans whose lives changed April 19, 1995.

That includes Jack Ramos, who passed away four years ago.

He was the president of ARC Ramos metal works and offered her services at cost once the design of the memorial was agreed upon.

His job was to create the 168 bronze chairs, each representing a victim

No matter how many times you've been to the memorial, chances are you've never passed up the chance to see the powerful symbols of lives lost.

Jack kept a photo album of his work on the chairs and also produced a video of the process.

Jack and his wife, Virginia, were friends with Colleen Guiles who was on the seventh floor and died in the bombing.

Virginia, though, said her husband developed a special tie to each piece of art.

“He used to go out and walk the park and make sure everything was all right with them. He never gave up the feeling that they were his,” said Virginia.

Virginia said she plans to donate the album and video to the Oklahoma City National Memorial.
