Two home runs from Chris Heisey and five unanswered runs late in the game broke open an 8-2 win for the Oklahoma City Dodgers against the Round Rock Express Saturday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Heisey recorded the first multi-homer game in the Pacific Coast League this season, with homers in the fourth and sixth innings. He also helped guide the OKC Dodgers to a 2-1 lead in their season-opening series against Round Rock in front of a crowd of 8,632.

OKC Dodgers starting pitcher Zach Lee earned the win, holding the Express to one run on two hits, issuing two walks and striking out six over 6.0 innings. He retired 16 of the final 17 batters he faced in his first start of the season.

The Express took the first lead of the game for the third time in the series. A two-out RBI double to left field by Jared Hoying gave the Express a 1-0 lead in the first.

The Dodgers (2-1) were held without a hit until Heisey belted a solo homer into the alley beyond the LED board in left field to tie the score, 1-1, in the fourth inning.

Heisey connected on his second homer in as many at-bats when he hit a two-run shot that landed in the Oklahoma City bullpen for a 3-1 advantage in the sixth inning. He finished with a game-high three RBI.

The Express (1-2) cut the OKC Dodgers' lead to one run in the seventh inning on a two-out RBI single by Hanser Alberto.

Oklahoma City went on to score five unanswered runs.

A bloop single to right field by Austin Barnes regained a two-run lead for the Dodgers.

In the eighth inning, Darnell Sweeney got on base with a single, stole second and third base, then scored on a one-out single by Kiké Hernandez. Kyle Jensen followed with a RBI double – his second double of the night.

A RBI single from Scott Schebler and a RBI double from Buck Britton with two outs gave the Dodgers an 8-2 edge in the eighth.

Britton went 3-for-4 for the OKC Dodgers and Sweeney recorded three total stolen bases – the first three in team history.

Oklahoma City relievers Danny Liberatore, Jorge De Leon and Danny Coulombe all made their OKC Dodgers debuts and combined to hold the Express to one run over the final four innings.

Express reliever Cody Kendall was charged with the loss, allowing three runs and three hits over 1.1 innings after replacing starter Wandy Rodriguez in the sixth inning.

The OKC Dodgers wrap up their season-opening series against Round Rock with a 2:05 p.m. game Sunday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Bring the whole family out to the ballpark and experience Chaparral Energy Family Sundays with the OKC Dodgers. Each Sunday home game is filled with family fun activities everyone can enjoy, including pregame player autographs and kids can run the bases following the game.
