Arrest Made In Shooting Death Of 18-Year-Old OKC Man

Authorities have made an arrest for the homicide of an 18-year-old Oklahoma City man who was shot on the southwest side of the metro in late March.

Authorities have made an arrest for the homicide of an 18-year-old Oklahoma City man who was shot on the southwest side of the metro in late March.

Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1500 block of S. Indiana on March 24. The victim, 18-year-old Curlee Harper, was transported to OU Medical Center where he died.

Investigators determined that Harper was on foot when he had some type of altercation with the suspect, which led to him being shot.

On Wednesday afternoon, officers obtained a warrant and arrested 19-year-old Jalen Turner for the crime of First-Degree Murder.

Investigators have not said what sort of altercation occurred between Turner and Harper before the fatal shooting.
