Homes, Businesses Evacuated After Gas Leak In NW OKC

Oklahoma City firefighters are evacuating homes and sheltering businesses near NW 15th St. and May Ave. after workers cut a gas line in the area, a fire official said Wednesday.

Firefighters have asked police to block traffic around the area while crews work to cap the leak, Oklahoma City fire Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland said.

ONG workers arrived at the scene shortly before 10 a.m. It should be about 20 minutes to fix, firefighters say.
