Storm chances this evening and tonight will stay in far northeast Oklahoma, likely just outside of our viewing area. Most, if not all, of our viewing area stays dry tonight.

Tomorrow has been a difficult forecast in terms of location, but the risks have been consistent: large hail, damaging wind, and yes, the opportunity for a few tornadoes. Based on the latest data, the area we have highlighted in orange is where there's a higher opportunity for severe weather.

This is, of course, all dependent on the the location of the dryline and how strong our "cap" is tomorrow. Monday and Tuesday, the cap has been extremely strong and we haven't had enough lift to overcome it. Tomorrow will be a more favorable day for it as the upper-level system will be closer, providing more lift.

Northern Oklahoma should be on alert tomorrow afternoon and evening and western Oklahoma as well. Once the dryline is to your EAST (meaning, you're in the dry air...), your severe threat is over.

For OKC: our chances for severe weather are low tomorrow. It's NOT ZERO. I just think northern Oklahoma has a higher chance to see severe storms tomorrow.

Forgive the rambling. I just want to make sure I communicate the threats clearly. Stay with News 9!
