A Tuttle man already charged with multiple counts of rape and abuse could be facing more charges. Police arrested Gregory Zavala earlier this month. He was accused of the kidnapping, torture, and abuse of three women at separate times over a two-year span.

Police said the girl was missing for several weeks. After locating her they said they believe she was with Gregory Zavala before his arrest. And News 9 was told this was not the first time she was with him.

Through proactive parents and social media leads, Newcastle police tracked down the 16-year-old at an acquaintance's house in Mustang on Wednesday.

Detectives said there was cause for concern because they claimed she was with Zavala before his arrest.

And court documents showed this wasn't the first time either. In February, Zavala was charged in Lincoln County for harboring a runaway child. The same girl, detectives said, was found last week.

But police have yet to tack on additional charges.

“I don't even know what to say. You know you talk to somebody and you think their normal and it's clear that it's capable of being something else,” said neighbor Shawn Dolan.

Shawn Dolan lives across the street from Zavala.

Details of his neighbor's current charges of abuse, rape, and torture of three other women horrified him.

“I've spoken with the guy responsible and I've shaken his hand. This kind of comes as a surprise,” said Dolan.

For Dolan the surprise started the night investigators searched Zavala's home.

“They kicked in the door with flashing lights into different rooms,” he said.

It was a scene that was out of character for this neighborhood, Dolan said.

But now on Lewis Street, a once quiet block with children playing in the road, has parents living nearby frightened.

“I don't think that's ever something you expect to have happen,” said Dolan.

Detectives continue to investigate the teen as possible 4th victim.

Meanwhile, Zavala remains in jail on a $2 million bond.
