Friday afternoon Edmond police said the department presented charges to the Juvenile Division of the Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office in regards to the threats and plan made by a 16-year-old Edmond resident against the students at Edmond North High School.
Authorities first discovered the details of the plan on March 13.

Officials said the teen potentially facing charges remains at an inpatient mental health facility.
Edmond police said the charges presented for consideration by the DA's office include
Felony Threats (Devising a Plan to Cause Serious Bodily Harm or Death – Firearms), Felony Threats (Devising a Plan to Cause Serious Bodily Harm or Death – Explosive Devices), two counts of Manufacturing An Explosive Device, two counts of Possessing an Explosive Device, and 13 counts of Possessing Component Parts of an Explosive Device – Fuse.
The Edmond School District released the following statement in response to the presented charges:
"We are aware via media reports of the criminal charges which are pending against a former Edmond North student. The number, type and seriousness of the charges are extremely troubling. The idea that a 16-year-old apparently planned to carry out appalling acts of bodily harm on students and staff members is incomprehensible. Providing a safe and secure environment for all students and staff is of utmost importance to Edmond Public Schools. We have and will continue to cooperate with authorities in their investigation of this incident."
