The City of Moore said it will be conducting its normal test of the Outdoor Warning System on Saturday. The weekly audible test will sound at noon. Officials said the test is conducted when temperatures are above freezing and there are not indications of severe weather.
Officials said the system also completes a daily non-audible test and reports back to the Moore Emergency Operations Center to advise staff of any issues.
Emergency management officials said the outdoor warning systems are intended to alert residents who may be outside at the time of severe weather. However, residents are encouraged to have three or more reliable sources for timely weather information.
