Sadly many families in Moore had to leave their homes Wednesday night before they could be secured.

And that left them vulnerable to thieves.

Shirley Houck is in disbelief over what was left of her home. She is even more shocked that someone looted her tornado ravaged home overnight.

“It's sad but when disaster strikes the scumbags come out and strike again. That's the last thing any of us need right now,” said Houck.

She said they were not able to stay to board up the house before night fell and approached police patrolling the streets about their concern.

“We stopped on the way out and said to them please watch our house, ours is one of the ones that can't be secured. Any they said well we are here to watch, we'll do the best we can”.

But when Shirley returned, she found many things missing.

“Kids TV's are ripped off the wall, their gaming system is gone. They went through our clothes, perfume, and they stole his hat collection,” said Houck. “You took my kids things? Really, that's pathetic. You are an absolutely pathetic person to do that”.

Friends and family boarded up the back of the home to prevent any more looting.

News 9 checked with Moore Police and they said they have not received any other reports of any looting in the area. But, they plan on having officers patrol the area just in case.
