Thousands Still Without Power In OKC Metro Following Severe Storms

Thousands of OG&E customers are still without power in the Oklahoma City metro area Thursday morning, after severe storms ripped through the area on Wednesday.

Thousands of OG&E customers are still without power in the Oklahoma City metro area on Thursday, after severe storms ripped through the area on Wednesday.

According to OG&E, as of 12 p.m. Thursday, 5,347 customers are without power, including 4,414 customers in Oklahoma City, according to OG&E System Watch.

At one point, more than 10,000 customers were without power. 

OG&E officials said crews assessment teams and trouble teams are out working the damaged areas.

Severe storms brought hail and high winds, and tornadoes ripped through central Oklahoma, Wednesday. All of which, has resulted in multiple injuries, power outages, and school closing.
