The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake in Grant County Tuesday.

The 3.8 magnitude quake shook the area 15 miles west of Medford and 26 miles north, northwest of Enid at 2:48 p.m., according to the USGS.

The earthquake was more than six miles deep.

There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.

According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
